This was a good episode, though i'm afraid my heart wasn't wholly it (either my annoyance with the one before contaminating my experience, or a little bit of overwhelming fannish experiences with everything else. It's a busy time to be fannish).

You could see that GRRM wrote this because THAT WAS ACTUALLY MY SANSA. She was sweet and polite and ridiculously romantic and brave trying to help her father awww. And she even got to talk to Sandor (lol).

Septa Mordane, for a bit character, has been written beautifully in the show. Loved the parallel of her bravery with Syrio's stand.

Arya's scene with her first kill was a little bit lacking though. But it was kind of really fast in the books too, part of the point.

I actually liked Robb in this episode. It's a weird feeling, but he was all adorable and brave and trying to act grown up. And he has good chemistry with Theon (who was also kind of adorable this ep). Also that Lannister scout was hot, I understand why Robb spared him :) he should have kept him as well to be the third instead of Jon :p

Varys is made of awesome. I think, given that the show has set it up as a Braavosi saying, it's interesting how he answered "Not Today" to Ned, when he asked whether he was going to be killed.

Daenarys' is finally starting to really work for me, in term of her growth as a character, taking hold of her own life with compassion as well as self-protection. Great acting.

Tywin is such a wonderful bastard. The scenes between him and Tyrion were great (also Kevan and Bronn had some awesome bits). Tyrion with the Moon clans were pretty good too.

Poor Ned didn't get to dream of the Tower of Joy. I miss that scene :o

Faceless Man!Varys! possibly maybe! Or maybe not but! Hahaha, Varys really is one of the most mysterious character of the series :)
