There's always the think of 15 characters and have your flist post questions without knowing who they are one...

but that takes forever! And I'm afraid my fandom interests are too diversified for that to work well, like half of my current favourite characters are totally unknown to half of my flist?

I meant more coming up with the top fives yourself, so you can choose what you get to babble about.

If you want I can prompt you.

I also meant to tell you that I've started on the comics you lent me. I like Children's Crusade; I didn't care that much about Billy before, and now I'm all omgBillyBillyBilly. So yay for that! I've also started X-Men Legacy, I'm right after Rogue-in-Australia. I definitely didn't expect to turn into something of an Emma Frost fan. I am just a bit flaily over everything, except maybe the first arc - Rogue was badass, but maybe a little too much badass? If that makes sense. That costume was fantastic, though.

I always take prompts! :D

OMGYAYYOUVEREADSTUFFYAY!

You didn't like Billy? How could you not like Billy? He's adorable! He's like, male!Willow! He is such a mess in CC XD
But I'm glad you've seen the light where he's concerned.

Emma has her moments. It kind of really depends of who writes her, but I love her when she's all HBIC and snarkilicious. I dunno what prompted you to suddenly liked her (in Legacy? Emma's in Legacy? huh)
When you say the first arc, you mean the first arc when Legacy wasn't Legacy yet? Or something else? Well Carey does write Rogue as very AWESOME, which may come as a bit Mary Sue-esque so I can see what you mean.
She does wear many awesome costumes. ♥ I love the one when she has a hoodie most, myself, I think that was from when Legacy wasn't Legacy yet. I like the one after, with the scarf too!

Top five fictional friendships!
Top five surprises Renée had when she became a mask! (or something. I just want to knooooow your thoughts/ideas for awesome on Renée Montoya, Gotham cop, learning stuff about the superhero community.)
Top five context-is-for-the-weak panels or whatever in comics!
Top five hilarious dialogue in Buffy!

I didn't dislike him! I just wasn't attached! But he wasn't a mess before! He was all-- well-adjusted and cute! I was distracted by Kate (and Eli) okay! Now he's PoV character and his issues and vulnerabilities and everything are shoved right in front of my face and I like him because I get what makes him tick!

Duh, I meant before Legacy is Legacy. It's in the folder called Legacy and I have issues with how the big two occasionally names their series. Titles are responsible for more continuity headaches than Jason Todd's history.
I didn't have any particular reason to dislike Emma except my usual prejudice against blond characters (seriously, there's only been one character before Steph that I loved despite them being blonde) and knowing that she's cold and rich. But, hum. Like you said. Snarkilicious HBIC. nnngh. I seriously have a type. The Emma/Xavier confrontation in that one arc in Scott's mind made me fall in love. She wasn't cruel, she didn't enjoy it, and the "NO MORE PATHOS!" slap was the ultimate calling out (I would pay good money to see someone, anyone but preferably Babs, call Bruce out with this exact word. Because yes, that's exactly the point.)

Carey does write Rogue as very AWESOME, which may come as a bit Mary Sue-esque
I think it was more that I didn't know the character well enough yet to know where she was vulnerable, so I didn't have that grip on her, and she wasn't the snarky or chatty type like Beast or Cannonball either, so I didn't have that grip either, so I was faced with what seemed like a smooth, sharp blade of well-honed badassness. I like a little more hurt in my characters before I can get behind the unadulerated badass. Of course, in hindsight, the Mystique issues in that arc are obvious, so I think on reread I'd like it more. The hoodie costume was what I was referring to. I'm usually on the fence about her costumes, but that one? Beautiful.

And about Billy: I was also confused about his and Teddy's names. They sound the same and they were always together and for a while it was so very confusing. The sad part is I am not even remotely joking.

woot! top fives! thinky top fives!

But he wasn't a mess before! He was all-- well-adjusted and cute!
Hahaha, I see what you mean. Yeah Billy is very cute, and very good at appearing well adjusted, at least.

Duh, I meant before Legacy is Legacy.
Oh, okay; so points for me for guessing it right.

Titles are responsible for more continuity headaches than Jason Todd's history.
OMG so true. There are stuff that are really evil in comic titles. Like, they renamed X-Men New X-Men for Morisson's run; but then they had another title that was first called New X-Men: Academy X; and then just New X-Men and that's the one that's about the kids; and what kind of cruel and unusual thing is that? How are people supposed to know which one they're talking about? And the stunt with renamed X-Men, X-Men Legacy, and then launching a new X-Men title too. WTF Marvel. It's like you don't want new readers to read your stuff.

I didn't have any particular reason to dislike Emma except my usual prejudice against blond characters
Hahahaha okay that makes sense. I think I also have a slight prejudice against blond characters, though I make exceptions easily, and it works more against either male blonds or blondes who are nice, all American types girls - so Icy, Bitchy Blondes like Emma get a pass easily. I think I had one against Steph when I first met her, early in Cataclysm actually.

The Emma/Xavier confrontation in that one arc in Scott's mind made me fall in love.
Ah, yes, that. That was cool. If you like Emma, I'm afraid I might have to end up reccing you the Morisson's run after all. Emma was one of the highlight of his run.

so I was faced with what seemed like a smooth, sharp blade of well-honed badassness.
sounds hot. :3

I like a little more hurt in my characters before I can get behind the unadulerated badass.
Yes, that makes sense.

If you're reading Legacy so fast, I think I didn't give you the Age of X crossover in the stuff I sent you (actually, I don't think I gave you any of the crossovers, so perhaps the issues from the Utopia one, and the Second Coming ones are being confusing?), so there should be a gap at some point; I could upload it for you. Unlike the other crossover this one was written by Carey, and the run since that has been focussing on the aftermath of it so...

And about Billy: I was also confused about his and Teddy's names. They sound the same and they were always together and for a while it was so very confusing. The sad part is I am not even remotely joking.
Hahahaha I kept confusing their names for a long time too. Several types I've written Teddy when I meant Billy XD
