I like the sellswords. Should we know who Griff is? (bah, I remember people discussing that - a century ago - based on heraldry and what not. Nevermind. I'm never good at spotting things like that anyway.
Davos I
Oh dear, Salladhor Saan broke up with Davos :(
Heh, another potential mother for Jon Snow. We might end up with a collection of them.
It's nice of Ned to help Davos from beyond the grave.

Oi, Tyrion. Everyone else has gotten on plots. Why are you still buisy describing landscape & routine? At least tell us what secrets you've learned!
ETA: oh wait, the boy, it's about Young Griff, he's someone important, king's blood. He's too old to be Edric Storm, yes? Who else could that be. Surely not another Targaryen? I'd be damned. Qaithe did mention a Blackfyre among the suitors, I thought that was a ref to the Golden Compagny as Golden Compagny; but. Hmmff. He's the right age for Aegon too.

"Prince Viserys weren't the only dragon were he? Are we sure they killed Prince Rhaegar's son? A babe, he was."
LOLOLOLOL peasants doing the guessing game/prediction theory like us folks. Wonder if one will speak of the rumour that the Imp might be a Targaryen's get XD

(For serious, I was relieved -- if unsurprised -- to see what Davos was grieving for Salla's departure but kind of resigned and understanding and not OMGWEHATESHIMFOREVER. 'Cos it's reassuring that there are people in ASOIAF-verse with sense.)
I was also thinking Edric Storm for Young Griff originally, but, yeah. Too many purple-eyed, light-haired characters, Martin! (Still hoping he's a red herring, though. (Or a Jezal-like outcome, heh. I will just be really annoyed if a True Targaryen is on the throne of Westeros, regardless of who it is.)
P.S. I'm up to ~p.350 now

I wouldn't be surprised if Griff ended up a Jezal like character.

I loved that bit too. And they didn't even have our perspective or, hell, the paparazzi shots and constant celeb gossip blogging our time has, so they had to be a lot more creative.
