Up to p.753 / Tyrion's eleventh chapter, not included
Tyrion X
All right, I'll say it: Aww poor Tyrion. Though the worse your situation, the less you seem to fall into self pity heh.
Jaime I
JAIME! it is good seeing you.
Is "leal" an actual English word and not a typo? I think this one is the third of the book, and I have grown suspicious it is some obscure, ancient vocabulary.
OKAY THAT IS A FUCKING CLIFFHANGER.
Jon X
I continue liking Alys. I wonder if the name is a reference to Alys Vorpatril.
Ooooh, so Jon sent ships to the Wildlings in Hardhome. Nice.
Daenarys VIII
ARGH there's another "leal". I hate pet words like that.
Theon VIII
Well, that went well. To Stannis, huh? If they can manage it (I wonder what Stannis would make of Theon, with his sense of "justice" and all XD)
Daenarys IX
LOL at Dany saving Tyrion's life in passing.
OKAY THAT WAS AN ENDING. I am disappointed in Dany missing the occasion of saying "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED" :p
Jon XI
Jon should give Val the castle with the women to command, I say.
Much is made of greyscale, I wonder what's up with that.
Why is it Jon who gets do to do all the awesome stuff this book? It's starting to annoy me. If Daenarys' chapters have been made to contrast with Cersei's chapters initially; why, it would not look any better gender wise than it did as it were.
speaking of which. *sighs*
Cersei I
okay that wasn't quite as annoying as what i was remembering from FFC. But still annoying. Especially the obsession with Tyrion.
I see the Golden Compagny & friends has made its landing. Teehee.
Barristan I
Yes, well, that much was obvious.
Victarion I
I see that Victarion is still his sweet self. And there's Moqorro. Interesting. They're almost all here, Daenarys' suitors.

Date: 14 July 2011 03:46 am (UTC)I thought most of the FFC chapters up to now were pretty natural "next steps" from where we had left them...?

What made me think of Vorkosiverse was Tyrion being in charge of drains in Casterly rock -- it reminded me a bit of Miles's forensic plumbing in "The Vor Game". But probably mostly just because the phrase "forensic plumbing" will never be not hilarious to me.
