Name me a character (or ten) from any fandom you know I'm in, and I'll let you know:

* How I FEEEEEL about this character
* All the people I ship romantically with this character
* My non-romantic OTP for this character
* My unpopular opinion about this character
* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Ee, that was my kink sock, I'm so sorry! I'm trying to get [community profile] kink_bingo done at the last minute, and I keep forgetting to log out.

Try again! Emma Frost? Or any of the Marvel women, I'm not fussy.

* I actually like the Cyclops/Emma thing. Well, not how it got started, but in term of their personnality dynamics, I dig it.

Oh, yeah, me too! So much!

I think I could like Emma/Namor too. But don't tell anyone.

This is possibly the most awesome thing I've read this week!

* I have mad love for Deadpool. He really hits me on my rare cheerful angst identifying spot; he's wonderfully kinky at the best of time, and when well written has a wonderful bland of tragic and hilarious which I really dig - totally triggering my woobie instincts. Oh, and the mind on over drive never stops thinking (out loud) too; I relate to that a lot. Otherwise I love the trickster archetype aspect, the meta aspect (not unrelated), and the moral ambiguity. I also like when he's thoroughly a fanboy, and a pretty immature one at that; and I love that he loves violence. Not really killing people as such, at least, not having people dead as a result of the violence; but mayhem and slaughter as the action of killing; he loves that XD

* Cable/Deadpool OF COURSE, but also Deadpool/Bullseye (they're such adorable frenemies), Deadpool/Ness (cuz, well!), Deadpool/Outlaw (it's cute), possibly with Sandi too; various people Deadpool crushes on in a fanboying way (like Cap, Black Widow, The Cat, Thor, etc). Well I ship it as a crush, not really reciprocated, dunno if that ought to count.

* Blind Al+Deadpool OF COURSE, Deadpool+Weasel, also Deadpool+Domino, and Deadpool+Bullseye (heh), oh, Deadpool+Bob agent of Hydra too! And that blond German chick from Kelly's run, what was her name again?

* While I like it in small doses, I think a lot of time the meta aspect of the character is overplayed, especially in fanfics. It can be devastatingly funny, but if used too much it just feels forced and just... I don't know, cheap?

* The really fucking stupid yellow box + white box talking with one another and him that Way started. I want it gone and burnt to the ground. What Way does otherwise isn't that bad (it gets tiresome and it totally misses what's best about the character, but it doesn't mess things actively) but the fact this is seen as the new canon for Wade drives me crazy. Stupid fishmalky portrayal.

* I like Galena. He's not my all time favourite character, but he's one I definitely enjoy. Like the dry wit, control issues and adorkableness especially. Don't usually spend a lot of time thinking about him, though.

* Miles. Pretty much.

* Miles again! Did he have a relationship with anyone else? Maybe one of the Koudelka girls, I forget... >_>;

* Errr. There are popular opinions about Galeni?

* I wouldn't have minded seeing him more in Memory in general. Not necessarily to get drunken sex with Miles as such; but for some reason I had an overall feeling of loose ends about him in that book.

Yep! :)

Well, he gets together with Delia K. in canon, but that kinda came out of nowhere. Really, it mostly feels like a ploy to give Kou as random a set of sons-in-law as possible :P

He was also in charge of Ivan on Earth (and there was that one fic, or possibly a couple of fics, on the kinkmeme you linked that got me intrigued by Brothers in Arms! Ivan/Galeni as a ship, heh.

And I guess he could still be friends with Laisa even though she's Empress now.

Anyway!

Not necessarily to get drunken sex with Miles as such; but for some reason I had an overall feeling of loose ends about him in that book.

Haha, although the drunken sex does seem like it would slot in very nicely. (With Ivan finding them after and being all terrified of somehow becoming the last sane man on Barrayar) But, anyway, yeah, I did feel like he was sidelined for the second half of the book, and I would've loved to see more of him there.

lol A Civil Campaign was a bit like that XD

they could have entertaining dynamics yeah. I'm not sure I'd ship them together, but still potential fun.

aw, but he's so stupid and Nice Guy with Laisa I don't really like it.

Koudelka family parties must be amazing. (Mark should totally sell tickets on the side XP)

aw, but he's so stupid and Nice Guy with Laisa I don't really like it

He's definitely stupid -- or, well, inept, anyway -- about Laisa. I don't know about Nice Guy... For one, I never got the sense that he blamed Laisa for choosing Gregor -- he blames Miles, and he blames Gregor -- which, the latter, at least, is forgiveable, I think

It's hard to judge given that I don't think we ever really see Galeni and Laisa interacting naturally, but I definitely got a lot less of a sense of "waiting in the wings until girl gets heartbroken by popular guys to swoop in" and more just a reserved/repressed personality who, between planting bombs as a kid and attempting to fit into military Vor society as an adult, never figured out how to let a woman he likes know that he likes her.

I do think there are elements of it in that Galeni just seems to sort of assume that Laisa would/should like him because they are both Komarran, and his obvious Issues with Komarr, Barrayar, and identity may be an explanation but they're not an excuse...

I guess what I'm saying is, I'd like to see/have seen some actual interaction between Duv and Laisa to figure out what he's like with the woman he actually likes/liked. With Delia, it always seemed like she just sort of... took charge of him at a point where he was pretty much at the end of his rope, and he apparently acquiesced. It would be interesting to see what a romantic relationship, or a prelude to one, looks to him. From what we've seen -- kind of like a business arrangement (which, I dunno, maybe it's a Komarran thing, or Duv thinks it is), but Galeni tends to be so inward about everything except for the moments when he explodes that it's really hard to tell.

Apparently I had Thoughts on Duv/Laisa. Sorry XD

* I have conflicted feeling about Hermione. I don't like her much, really, she triggers a certain sense of awkwardness and shame in me from the things I have (had) in common with me; without having some other aspects I could identify with fairly because *sighs* because when a female character is smart it's almost always smart in an orderly, overachiever, respectful of authority way - which is not me at all. I do think she's a very good character thought, like, objectively.

* I don't ship Hermione much. I mean, Ron/Hermione by default I guess? But I don't really give a shit. I wrote a Percy/Hermione fic once, but it was more a one sided thing from Percy.

* I like her friendship with Harry. And with Remus.

* Fffffffff. I kind of like this thing I once saw on the internet, people reading Hermione as Black and a second generation immigrant. It was interesting :D

* *shrugs* I dunno. Well, asides from Epilogue What Epilogue, I guess.
