arrrghefpjzefgipo I want to waffle about asking if I should be writing a fic but I don't want to be all whiny and attention begging about it when the likelihood of it ever coming into being as an actual fic with an ending is pretty low. Should perhaps update my writing filter for that sort of shit, I dunno.

i too self-conscious :/

? If writing whatever you're thinking about sounds like fun to you, then sure. Write the scene you want to write and to hell with everything else! :D

actual fics with endings bah, I say.

Aaaaah, I get you. :/ Sorry. (There's a reason I don't write chapetered fic.)

The plot part complicates things... hm. I do have an idea, but it's probably what I'd do, and I have no idea whether it'd work for what you have in mind, because I know my attention span would never let me write an epic: write it in snippet form. Post a chronological outline, and write what you're interested and skip the boring parts. A bit like [personal profile] glymr and [livejournal.com profile] iesika did for Kings Among Runaways. Or post a chronological outline, and poke your flist for the things they'd most like to see, like [livejournal.com profile] suzukiblu does at [livejournal.com profile] white_knuckle.

I don't think it's bad to write/post for comments. I post the stuff I write for the same reason. I love writing, but I also love knowing that other people enjoy the stuff I come up with, you know? Especially when it's something long.

for what it's worth, i can't help much because i'm not a writer, but i love reading about story ideas, even when i'm not familiar with the fandom!

Moi, en tout cas, ce genre de questions m'intéressent, donc si tu fais un filtre, mets-moi dedans ! :-)

On the waffling: I don't think you should have to feel obligated to filter your posts. This is your journal, speak about the things that matter to you.

On the writing: Personally, I adore your writing. So of course I side with those before me, "write it, write it!" But even if you never post it, never finish it, even if it never even gets out of the conceptual stage, even if you are the only one to read it, I think you should still write it. I do feel a pang of regret when I work hard on a fic and it sits mostly ignored at my journal, but it doesn't negate the pleasure of creating. If you are inspired to create, you should create, and let the fulfillment of that desire be your reward.

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm going to try to write it, we'll see how that goes ^^
