anime watching

I've been catching up on anime watching since I've been back home. There's actually a lot of interesting shows this season!

There's the sequel to Spy x Family, which is reliably good and entertaining (a little bit too much tbh, it feels a bit too much like a heartwarming product at times).

There's Raven of the Inner Palace, an ancient China fantasy Josei adaptation, which is gorgeous. Storytelling is a bit rote, but decent enough to watch.

There's Gundam : Witch from Mercury, which is taking some cues from Utena and therefore grabbed my attention even though I've never watched a Gundam series before and don't much like Mecha action. It's been very good so far (I'm 3 episodes in it).

There's a modern adaptation of Urusei Yatsura which I'm curious about because I loved the old one when I was a child. Not sure it's the sort of material that has aged well enough for 2020 but I want to check out another episode before I rule one way or the other.

Am I missing out on any other good anime series this season ?

Je ne regarde pas tellement d'anime ces temps-ci. J'étais curieuse sur Urusei Yatsura aussi, mais la bande annonce m'a fait penser que ça avait mal vieilli. Je regarde seulement Blue Lock, un anime de sport où il n'y a rien à shipper pour l'instant, donc je ne le recommande pas particulièrement.

Qu'est ce que tu aimes dans Blue Lock ?

Je consomme pas mal d'anime de sport pour l'esprit d'équipe, les amitiés et plus si affinités. Là, c'est le contraire, avec un coach qui fait dans les mind games, alors ça a un côté un peu original que j'aime bien.

Je reviens pour dire que maintenant j'ai un ship dans Blue Lock et que je viens même de découvrir qu'ils ont un manga spin-off.

Ce récit sera centré sur un des personnages les plus populaires
MDR, il faut pas se demander pourquoi il est populaire. XD

I am just starting s1 of Mob Psycho 100, which is about a superpowered middle school boy and his fradulent 'psychic' mentor going around banishing ghosts. It's up to s3 this season (the last one afaik), and I'm enjoying it so far.

That sounds cool! I know a lot of people enjoy Mob Psycho. I tried it once but couldn't make it past the art style unfortunately :( I'm glad you're enjoying it

Perfectly reasonable - I read some vols of the manga I picked up on sale, and that's got a similar artstyle but More So. I prefer the anime.
