Finished watching the Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty. Overall it was okay, but I didn't have strong feelings for the characters. The mystery investigation were cool, but the big arch plot was a bit boring. It's very well done though, and often made me hungry for Chinese food.
Hope to find a new historical/wuxia asian drama to watch soon. Any recs?

And Sui Zhou in particular is SO different in the drama he may as well be a different character. Drama Sui Zhou is kinda meh, in my opinion, book Sui Zhou knew he wanted Tang Fan practically from day one and played a VERY long game to get him (involving mostly patience and every so often pushing the envelope a little to nudge Tang Fan along. Book SuiTang is, in fact, my favorite main canon couple of any danmei I've read.
All of this to say, I highly recommend the novel (yes, even though the translation is not great).
