6 Nov 2005 05:09 pmAll right, I finnally figured out how to use YouSendIt. I'm gonna start with Famous Blue Raincoat, the wonderful song by Leonard Cohen, and the live version sung by Tori Amos. Remember how I had an icon about it ? Now you'll know what I meant. Do listen to the lyrics.
Famous Blue Raincoat, Leonard Cohen version
Famous Blue Raincoat, Tori Amos live version
And a random french music : Les Mistral Gagnants, by Renaud which I adore. Very slow and bittersweet.
for
busaikko Obsolete by McSolaar it's french hip hop i liked when I was 13 ^^

Listening to music when you don't understand/dont pay attention to the lyrics is definitly a different experience. I'm always surprised by how much most people do listen to them XD

Prose Combat is the one with Obsolete, isn't it ? Also had Concubine de l'Hémoglobine and Nouveau Western (which got that background music sampled from Gainsbourg's Bonnie & Clyde)

Sitting down with you five minutes on a beach
and watching people as long as there are
Talkin' you about the good times, that died or will come back
While squeezing your little finguers in my hand
Pis donner à bouffer à des pigeons idiots
Then feeding stupid greedy pigeons
Giving em kicks for pretend
And hearing you laughter crawling over the walls
Qui sait surtout guérir mes blessures
Which knows how to heal my aches
Te raconter un peu comment j'étais mino
Tellin' you a little how I was fond
Of fabulous sweets that we stole from the shop
and the winning mistrals
Walkin' with you five minutes under the rain
Et regarder la vie tant qu'y en a
And watchin' life as long as there is
Tellin' you about Earth while gazing at you greedily
Et parler de ta mère un p'tit peu
and talkin' a bit about your mother
And jumping into puddles so as to make her fume
Bousiller nos godasses et s' marrer
Screwin' up our boots and gigglin'
And hearing your laughter like one hears the sea
S'arrêter et r'partir en arrière
stopping and startin' backward again
telling you especially about the carambars of old, the milk coco ones
and the true roudoudou that cut at our lips
Et nous niquaient les dents
and fucked up our teeth
Les mistral gagnants
and the winning mistals
Sitting down with you five minutes on a bench
And watchin' the sun going away
Te parler du bon temps qu'est mort et je m'en fou
Talkin' about the good time that died and I don't give a fuck
tellin' you that the bad guys, they're not us
Que si moi je suis barge, ce n'est que de tes yeux
That if I, I'm crazy, it's only about your eyes
Since they have the best of being two
And hearing your laughting flying as high
Que s'envolent les cris des oiseaux
as the birds' cries fly
Tellin' you at last that you must love life
and love it even if Time is a murderer
Carrying away children's laughter
Les mistral gagnants
and the winning mistrals
Les mistral gagnants
and the winning mistrals
