Late attempt at guessing--

I also like Magneto/Marie (Rouge) in the X-men movie, Magneto/Xavier, Logan/Marie and Logan/Jean.

Other favorite Firefly pairings: Simon/Kaylee/River (practically canon from the last moments of the movie) and Simon/Jaye (my sick and wrong pairing of choice). Any of those even close?

Furuba: Sigure/Akito maybe? It's hard to go wrong with that pairing-- cross-dressing, obsession, secrets, cruelty, deceit and it's canon.
